Escoitas arredor de Enrique X. Macías

The Department of Culture, through its Directorate-General for Cultural Creation and Diffusion, pays tribute to Enrique X. Macías in the 50th anniversary of his birth, in an effort to get the public to listen to and know the musical and creative legacy of this Galician author. In order to achieve that, in cooperation with the Portuguese association Miso Music Portugal, faithful keeper of the composer’s work, and the city councils of Vigo, the place of birth of Enrique X. Macías, Santiago and A Coruña, different initiatives are carried out with the aim of contributing to making this internationally renowned composer, who met an untimely death, and his works more widely known, to foster a better awareness of his legacy and to promote the performing and circulation of his music.

The concerts will take place in Vigo (MARCO), A Coruña (Rosalía de Castro Theatre) and Santiago (Salón Teatro), by the Sond’Ar-te electric Ensemble, from Portugal, directed by Miguel Azguime, a personal friend of the late composer.
